gauges not working ????

went for a nice ride in the 1974 fj40. on Sat. when i started engine,i noticed none of gauges working, all are factory, checked the fuses, all were fine never had a issure with this ever........any suggestions?????

try the plug behind the cluster?

Mine did the same thing. Pull the cluster, unplug it and clean it really well. That should fix it up.

replace the fuse anyway. Could have corrosion on the metal parts

Double check the main fuse to the gauge cluster. I have a current issue with my reverse lights where every time I shift into reverse, I blow the gauge fuse. I haven't had a chance to troubleshoot it yet, so I have the reverse lights unplugged at the transmission switch for the time being. ...yours is probably a different issue, but double check your fuses. Use a test light to ensure you have power on both sides of the fuse.
