Gas Tank

Thanks again to Chris, Country and the 49 tire team! they installed my new brakes despite the curveballs she tried to throw at em. Nice work!

On down theline...I have taken out my old gas tank. See pictures, it was nasty up under there. I found about 15 bullet shells up under the tank cover, somebody was using this truck for driveby's i guess.

i found a deal on cool cruisers for a new tank and sender unit, so hopefully this swap will kill 3 birds with one stone.

And Faulty sender unit

Tank is on its way now. If this doesn't stop the smell then there is only one other culprit, my carb. which will be replaced eventually.

also found this gas line coming out of the EVAP system that is rusted apart down at the bottom of the picture.. It is supposed to connect to a line that comes up to my carb. But the line doesn't connect to my carb. I take it this is because I don't have a stock carb. It is a holley. For you guys with the holley's does this EVAP system function at all? Should I worry about fixing the lines?

While you have the gas tank out you may want to treat this area with POR 15. That was a area that I wasn't going to deal with till Bodean made me. Glad I did had a good bit of rust.

Its a perfect time to do that while you have the tank out.
