gas tank repairs (1 Viewer)

Most of you know I'm repainting my 40.
We are nearly to the stage of putting it back together.
Bodean was at the shop the other day and quizzed me about taking out the gas tank and checking for rust.
I really didn't want to do it. I was really ready to quit taking parts off the junk and start putting stuff back on.
Bodean the "Yoda of Toyota" called me again and advised me again to take it out and check for rust.
So... We drained the tank and removed it and guess what we found?

RUST

I wouldn't steer you wrong my brother. Been there and done all of this! You are doing the right thing. Make sure to take care of the rust and fix what you can. Bed line it and move on. I had to patch the same place on both of the 40 I have had. Let me know if you need help this weekend on the reassembly.

Why change colors? Doodoo is one of the best colors they did. I wonder if Voodoo Blue is homage to Doodoo?
