Hi @Dirtygumboots - Glad to have you join us. There will definitely be forest service roads (FSRs). If we run Vedder Mtn, there will be some decent wheeling requiring 4-low. Our 'local guide' has been doing recon and there is a water feature about 28"-30" deep on one section. No crazy stuff, but a few sections where you have to watch the body work. If we run Foley or Cheam I think it's mostly FSR (I'm not familiar with either of those, but they are popular). Another area we've done is Thurston which was doable as a loop but is now an In & Out due to a major land sluff on the access road. It too has some sharper sections and is a lot of fun. Bring appropriate clothing for mixed-bag weather and higher elevations where we may see a little fresh snow. It's going to be fun!
Check out this link to a run on Vedder from a couple years back with photos on page 2:
3rd annual Gary Telford Memorial fall run (Thurston Loop) November 5th - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/3rd-annual-gary-telford-memorial-fall-run-thurston-loop-november-5th.1296124/page-2

@Dirtygumboots there are two options, either Thurston or Vedder. Thurston, higher elevation so this one is snow dependant vs Vedder, a bit lower and a few different options depending on conditions. Last 2 or 3 years it has been Vedder. Both have some obstacles, most can be bypassed to some degree. Both locations are better suited for a small lift and tires but that being said we have had stock vehicles come and with some good spotting and the occasionally tug. They have made it through successfully.

Thanks for the info, sounds a lot like what we have up the Mt Baker Hwy. It will be interesting to see if we are on any of the FSRs we see from our side.

I'm interested to find out more about the wheeling opportunities in your playground. Not sure what we'll be able to see on Sat, the clouds will have to really cooperate. 😆

Heading out. Grabbing smokies and buns. See you on Chilliwack lake road about 500m up from vedder bridge or a little further if parking is tight

A great run with 14 trucks. Great to meet Kevin and Lux from Bellingham. Weather was good, just a couple of showers at lunch.
