garmin nuvi 650 gps questions

pulled the trigger and bought a garmin nuvi 650. Pretty nice so far. I purchased a 2 gig memory card for it so i could load topo maps. The instructions are very simple and they say "attach the GPS to your computer using the supplied USB cable. drag and drop information onto your GPS". So, i'm guess i would just get a topo map CD, and drag and drop the CD onto the gps?

How do i add maps to this thing?

You may want to look into it further (ie call garmin) I don't think topo maps work on that unit. only the new 500 and 550

i called them to ask, and they said topo maps would work. THe only thing i wanted to do that this unit will not allow is "bread crumb trails".
