this sunday i am riding from pittsburgh to DC..again. its 330mi along a rails to trails system that took them 30 years to finish. the history along with route is thick. i am doing it with 2 friends. its one of the funnest things i have ever ridden. i usually ride mtb trails so this is a bit more roadie but its not about the bike or trail, its about the fun had along the trail and just seeing the sites and history. if you havent done it, i would suggest checking it out.

The Gap Trail is a great time. Perfect transition from Mtn biking to "touring on dirt". The trail is also very family friendly.

I pulled my daughter behind my Surly Cross Check in a Chariot stroller for a large portion of the trail.

A few more details on our Blog if anyone is interested.
