Hey i have the bug for improving my LC and im in OPKS so i guess this is where i belong. I have a 97 40th LC and stock except for CDL, took off the running boards and rattle canned the wheels. Im selling my 3rd row of tan leather seats, really good condition and all parts included and the running boards i just took off. not in very good condition but can be used for parts or whatnot. Also wanted to know if there are any good cruiser mechanics in the area or fab shops. Thanks for your guys (or gals) time

Welcome to KS. Are you new to the Wichita area? Stationed at McConnell?

There aren't notable LC mechanics in Wichita but there are a few of us that has 80's that wrench on our own junk and Don P is really handy as well. What sort of work and projects were you looking to do?

I understand the connection, but I think he's up here in Overland Park

You'll have to excuse Kris, he's been in the sandbox waaay too long. :D There's several great cruiser mechanics, but they are probably also restoring one or several cruisers (see above stickys). Dwayne, aka Tectafab, can fab anything you dream, just keep him away from the lime green paint. Unless of course you love that color as well.

Welcome to the area

Welcome RTB. For custom fab Dwayne is your guy. I've never met him but seen a lot of his work, to include the custom front and rear bumpers on my 4Runner, and they are quality.

As for mechanics, we all pretty much do our own work. That's half the fun! What are you needing done? We have a club wrenching day coming up soon as well.

no wrenching needed yet. i just have to change the o2 sensor and ive gotten the running boards off with a trusty hammer. Just getting ready for that inevitable day the head gasket goes or something big happens. As far as being part of the club, fees?

Club fees are a whopping $10, and if you buy any Toyota parts you can easily make that up in a year with our discount at Molle Toyota.

Just send kc_chevota(Rob), or two old crows(Peggy)a PM with your email and they can send you the registration form.
