FZJ80 Steering Wheel Choices

My son and I played with several steering wheel options on his '97 LX450. We ended up sourcing a new-in-box OEM JDM Wood/Leather 1st Gen LS400 (called a Celsior) wheel out of Japan (never made available in US). Hate to admit, but probably one of our favorite upgrades. Direct fit, swapped cruise switches but does require LS400 airbag which we sourced in US on eBay for $30 which is the proper single stage and plugs right in. Played with 2nd Gen LS wheels...wouldn't accept LX450's airbag (we did make it work but didn't look factory...gaps wrong and just looked wonky) and their airbag is multi-stage which is not compatible with the LX.

Only had this pic on the computer...

Sorry to revive this old thread but I have an aftermarket Momo wheel on my 1992 FZJ80 (RHD) and would like to replace it. It has a steering hub and the plastic surround which fits very loosely behind the hub. My challenge is that I have an aftermarket double din (Android unit from China) that can use factory steering wheel audio controls and I would like to add that feature. I want to use a 100 series or Tundra wheel that has those features and I believe it will be a direct fit. I don't actually care to have an airbag so I would likely source just the cover. Will I be able to install these relatively easily without any major modifications? Just seeing if anyone has done this yet. Thanks all!

@milemarker60

milemarker60, Love the profile image. Any leads on where to source one of these wheels for my 97 LX? What year Celsior did it come off of?

Best, W
