Fzj80 cruise control ecu location

Hi brains trust,


I'm currently trying to retrofit factory cruise control. I'm trying to find the location of where the cruise control module/ecu would be located. From my understanding it's in the driver's foot well somewhere (RHD Australian model). Does anyone have any pointers/pictures?

I know there's a bracket for the module, which I don't have, but can't find the wiring plug to save my life.

On the RHD trucks the cruise ECU is mounted high behind the lower dash, near the steering column/pedal-box area—not down on the floor of the footwell. Remove the lower knee/side trim and look for the unused multi-pin connector taped back into the main harness; following the cruise wiring diagram is usually easier than hunting for a loose plug. Also verify the donor ECU and harness match the same market/year, and check the stop-light switch plus clutch switch if it’s a manual.
