Not spamming, but have been using them more and more for generator starting and other off-grid control events. they are operable within a voltage window-don't know the ceiling, but the 12 volt model has no trouble with either an alternator or a solar input, both being more than 12 volts...)google 12VDC programmable timer and click on the ebay link if you are in need.....about 230 bucks cheaper than the Intermatic version.
