Who knows. Maybe in ten to fifteen years the thing to do will be to swap the engines out for some hydrogen super-pop whizz-bang thingy?

I'm particularly looking forward to the whizz. ::)

I see a turbo diesel conversion making more sense than
v8. That or we'll all retrofit the 3fe's.
 
well, whenever I hear people worrying about these obsolescence issues, I comfort myself by remembering that there are still original Bugattis and all such things out there, still running, and guess what, they are usually worth more than a new TLC, eh!
So parts availability may not be the killer issue we think?

When the cruiser crowd rebuilds, do folks generally bump compression to gain a few ponies? Or is it OE parts all around?
 
What are you guys talking about? My 80 only has 47K on it!!! Ha! I got lucky, when it does die I definatley want more suds under the hood. Love my 80 but its still a bit of a dog on the highway!~
