Full Frame?

my friends dad's bitching about my truck not being safe, its a 68, full cage, and i was wondering if it has a full frame? and what does that mean?

older cars (a 71 chevy nova comes to mind) had a frame in front of the fire wall then they went to a unibody construction for the passenger compartment which is not a full framed car.

Maybe he is wondering if the full cage is tied into the frame.? Not just bolted to the body.
