Okay I was talking to the PO of my pig and he mentioned something about vent lines from the fuel tank being routed up to the roof and other panels? I would think that would cause a lot of undo rust. Is this guy crazy or what?

thanks

Think you have some confusion going on there. There are emissions tanks on your 70 on both the right and left sides in the cargo area behind the panels. There are also, some underneath the body up in the framework just up to the front ahead of the gas tank on the drivers side. you have two vent lines running down from your gas filler. Nothing venting to your roof or body unless you have severd lines.

they dont go vent to the roof. on early FJ55's, there are loops in the vent hoses on either D pillar. thats why there are the gray plastic plugs aft of the cargo side windows on the inside of the cruiser. Incidently they look exactly like the plug on the early-74 FJ40 front doors that the vent window tension spring hides behind.

Brett; do you have any pix or sketches you can share?.....am wrassling with that situation on my 69 that was gutted :frown:.....trying to figure out where things go and what is missing:hhmm: TIA
