Happy Sunday! I’ve been working on getting my 60 back to working order. Changed the fuel pump recently and seems to do wonders. I’m having issues currently with what I think is my fuel tank vent hose everytime im done driving it will pour out an abnormal amount of gas out of the back all over the rear axle. Will not do it after just idling. Someone in the past changed the fuel tank I know the vents supposed to be sitting up but I don’t think it’d make a difference with the amount of gas that comes out. I’ve tried taking the gas cap off to see if that’d make a difference and lost it doing so. Sheesh been a long day. Any suggestions? Thank you.

More info looks like lines from tank to separator have all been snipped and this blue “vent hose” is taking their places.

All of those vent lines are supposed to go to a fuel vapor separator behind passenger side cargo panel. It could be missing or the nipples on it are broken. You should be able to find a used one to restore its function. IDK about other options such as plugging them all except for blue line?

Well first, let's just get this out of the way: There is no such thing as a normal amount of fuel pouring out of a vehicle, let alone an abnormal amount. The fuel system is "closed", and should only be "venting" to the charcoal canister up under the hood.

The 60 series have a uniquely complicated tank venting system. All of those hoses you see must be hooked up to the tank, or fuel will leak out. That metal line you see loop back and forth in the 1st photo is the vent tube that eventually goes to the engine compartment. The blue hose is something someone added - it should be removed.

Yes looks like they’re all plugged besides the blue line which runs on the other side of the tank just open guess acting as the vent idk either my dad has always joked about how cheap the mechanic was. The separator is still there if that’s what you think is missing fuel lines connected to it. Looks like it’s in good condition you think it will still work after hoses being disconnected for so long? Gah damn it’s either a s***ty job or someone was trying to ruin my day.
