i'm going to pull the fuel tank out of my '78 fj55.
it has four triangular brackets supporting the tank on the frame. do these brackets have to be removed to get the tank out?
maybe even just two?
hoping i can get the tank out with these attached, not much room to wrench.
just trying to save myself unnecessary work.
info wasn't in the fsm.
thanks,
:banana::wrench:

so i got it out. i had to remove any and all supports. i realized why it's not in the fsm, because it's a pita.
you will need tiny fingers and patience for this. DSCN0334.webp

i found it easier to remove the cover for the vent lines. i just cut them because i plan to replace them.
the tank is full of s***. i am thinking i'll find a place the reconditions fuel tanks let them deal with it.
