anyone know the Ohms for the fuel sending unit? I have one of the man-a-fre 53 gal. tanks and it needs a new sending unit. summit has one that is 240 ohms empty and 33 ohms full. this is on a 1970 55 if it maters.

forget the summit units, wrong ohms. Do a search and see what comes up.

I found this in one of my Toyota manuals.

FLOAT position--------------------------------resistance in Ohms

Full ----------------------------------------- 17+- 2.1

1/2 -------------------------------------------40+-4.5

Empty ------------------------------------------120+-6.5

Now the Haynes manual said the oppitset and only gave the lowest setting
and that was 17+-2.1 at the lowest float setting:confused: so do I look for exactly the range above or is there a +- range I can work with. This area of my 55 is my weekest I NEED HELP:crybaby:
