I fellas, quick question if anyone can help. I have a '93 fzj80, which starts running poorly after about 25 minutes, feels like a fuel delivery problem. Had a feel around and found that the fuel pump resistor was really hot (could touch it for more than 5 seconds). Is it normal for the resistor to get this hot? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I dont believe that it should be that hot.

You can test it per the fsm with a multimeter or run a jumper wire from pin to pin to make it opperate 12v full time to see if it helps your running condition. Dont want to misinform you on which pinouts to jump but its searcheable on here, or someone may chime in for you shortly. (ill edit if I find it)

Replaced fuel regulator, no change. Just replaced the fuel pump and runs perfectly!

You guys have no idea. After adjusting everything and spending hundreds of dollars on parts, it was an $80 bloody fuel pump!
Thanks to those who tried to help me out. ;)
