Fuel Line Connections

Any idea what this line needs to connect. Its a steel pipe, not a rubber hose.

This picture is from underneath my LX450 right side of the fuel tank.

It looks like the line going to the charcoal canister. Have you followed it forward to see where it ends? It could be the fuel return line. There should be three lines coming from the tank area to the front. Fuel supply, fuel return and the one to the canister.
