Would anyone have a recommendation for a place I can take the 80 to get the injectors checked out? I am failing smog (thread in the 80 section...) and might have a leaky injector. The closer to Escondido the better.

When doing my head gasket recently I wanted to get the injectors tested and cleaned in the process. I found Oside Tigers in Temecula that seemed to have a good reputation and fast turnaround - OSIDETIGER - http://www.osidetiger.net/
Alas, the shop I took my 80 for the head gasket job had already sent the damn injectors to friggin' Texas (where some company they like and used to be in San Marcos had moved to); the result, literally double the cost of Oside Tiger, and three week turnaround, and I received no before/after testing report. When I contacted Oside Tiger to see if I could deliver the injectors to them, they told me no, just send them via UPS, Fed-X, USPS, etc as they have no in store customer service.

Thanks. I am going to need to take the truck in. I have until the 24th before she has to go on non-op and Claire thought #4 was coming last night so I will have to punt the whole job to a shop.

Well the shop that did my head seemed relatively competent, and their price was reasonable. Perhaps if you're more clear on your instructions to them than I was they may be worth a try. At least they're close by in San Marcos. Aloha Automotive - San Marcos, CA - https://www.yelp.com/biz/aloha-automotive-san-marcos

The shop that recommended them to me for the head gasket job (and which the previous owner of my truck said was very good) might also be a good place for your smog / injector job - Performance Edge Automotive - San Marcos, CA - https://www.yelp.com/biz/performance-edge-automotive-san-marcos
