Gentlemen,

I have a 1993 HDJ81 JDM with the 4.3l diesel. I was checking the fuses and relay's and noticed nothing was in the EFI FUEL-HTR relay slot. Now being a diesel I thought Fuel and heater would be a good thing and wondered if anyone here could enlighten me as to what that is for.

Follow-up

As a followup:

I took a 10 AMP fuse and slid it into the relay prongs and there was a discernible click from low in the engine bay. So the connection is live to something. I'm just not sure what!

Fuel HTR Relay

Does nobody have any idea what this does?

Maybe here's a better question. Does anybody have a relay installed in this socket?

I have no idea, but a fuel heater in a diesel makes a lot more sense than a heater on a gasser like we get.

The Fuel Heater was a option, the only HDJ-81's I have seen with it have the "snow pack" with the roller blind in front of the radiator. I do not have the heater in my rig but I also asked the question:
