Ft Leonardwood question

I may be moving to the FLW, Mo area this summer, for a job on post. I know nothing about this area other than staying at a friends on the way up to Alaska after I retired from the military. I dont know exactly when I'll be arriving but hopefully before the kids start school. Is there anyone on here that is willing to deal with questions about the area and a point of contact with the local cruiser community. Thanks in advance

Fort Lost-in-the-Woods. Not much else there - at least by continental US standards. I live in KC now, but used to be through there all the time. Camping/hunting/fishing is really good, just keep an ear out for banjos.
