I don't have any leaks as of yet, even living up in portland for a while, but I do have some gouges and scratches on the FRP top. Any suggestions for repairing? Also is there a need to gel coat the top like a fiberglass hulled boat? I'll probably repaint the whole thing at some point so off-colored repairs aren't a concern at all. It's meant to perform not look pretty.

I'll post up some pics later showing the disfigurement.

Some F/G matt and resin is all it needs and I would use proper a fibre glass gel coat.

They can look good with a good coat of paint

Rosco mine needs a repaint [sorry to hi-jakc] - do you need any special primers or paint? I got a really nice alloy wheel auto paint that will looks the biz.

I dont know much about painting fibreglass except that if its not treated as fibreglass, the paint goes to s*** pretty quick.
Someone who sells automotive pint would sort you out fairly quick.
