I shattered my front passenger window, made a template, and took to the glass shop to get a new one cut.

Anybody got any tips on installing the replacement? It's gonna be a 1/4 thick whereas the old was 3/16" but i think it'll still work in the window regulator channel if remove the old rubber and make a gasket that will allow the thicker glass to fit.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, ty

you'll prolly be okay...IIRC, you have to stick the glass in point down and then rotate it to level in the window run channel and drop it down onto the rail...

hint, don't drop it:hillbilly::flipoff2:...take the door panel all the way off so you'r not working by brail any more than you have to...tape the sharp metal edges so you don't look like you're the ref of a cock fighting ring when you're done...put some towels in the bottom of the door cavity-in case you drop it;)
