front shocks wont come off...what to do??

You know, I used the search engine and found some stuff but I just thought to ask so I could get some feedback ASAP. Thanks for all the info, and the lift is done now. 
I've never really looked at the shocks on my 80. However in the past I have been known to use a blue wrench on a shock nut. just keep the water hose close by and cut that baby off. Use a piece of tin as a heat shield.
