Wanted Front shock mudguard retainer...

On the '78 to '84 40 series, there is a rubber mudguard that goes around the front shocks, attached to the fenders. I need the metal strip that holds the rubber to the fender, both right and left sides. Its #406 in the photo if you can't picture what I'm talking about.

The '79 fj40 (production date 2/79) which I purchaed brand new did not have these shock guards. There are also no holes in the fenders for mounting them. Perhaps they were a post '79 item?

You could be right...mines an '82, I was just going by the parts label on the SOR catalogue.
