Front Diff Gear Pattern - Again.

I dont build hundreds of diffs or work a line but from my home garage experience, be thankful it's not a Dana.

3rd members are so much easier to gear followed by the AAM; having to shim a carrier is such a PITA.

This video is not a 3rd member but there is a lot of good general regear info to take away.

After redoing everything and using less marking compound, here is the outcome. This is with same thickness pinion plate as the photos from yesterday. From my look-see, the pattern looks ok?View attachment 4026088View attachment 4026089View attachment 4026090View attachment 4026091

Actually that looks pretty good, slightly deep.

All of mine run slightly deep which is somewhat common for aftermarket gears, and Toyota likes to run slightly deep.
