I’m rebuilding the front diff on my 100 and am not super stoked about having to custom order the spacers from Toyota. I was told by someone a while back that it is possible to use JK shims IIRC. Can anyone confirm that this is the case? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Why are you afraid to order Toyota parts? If they're in the warehouse, they'll be there next day.

I prefer having a pack of shims on hand rather than starting the rebuild, getting halfway, then measuring, guessing, and ordering a particular thickness shim from Toyota. Makes the whole process much smoother and it’s easier to get the exact setup you want.

I just buy the thickest parts and run them through the surface grinder if need be. But that's just me.
