Any tips for curing this before I climb under my rig? The levers in the cab seem to move fine, but they never had what you'd call a "positive engagement" feel to them.

Cheers

It is a very basic system. You can detach the cable at the diff and try at actuate it manually. If that works then you have a cable problem.

Thanks man,

I hit all of the linkages with penetrating oil, didn't to s*** so it's either a broken cable or something right at the diff. I'll keep disassembling. I cand find any info/links/documentation anywhere.

I have not worked on one but I would try taking the cable off the diff and see if it moves freely with the handle inside. Have some one watching the cable as you move the handle to make sure the cable is moving. If it is you have it narrowed down to the linkage at the diff, if not look at the cable.

I have seen heavyduty push pull cable at PA so maybe you can find a replacement cable local if needed.

Any luck?

Yes I was able to get some help and figure out that it was just in need of some adjustment. Cable stretch/worn bushings were the culprit. The system has a few linkages and it was not obvious to me.
