Seeking advice on an issue I have with my 2005 Tacoma. Was rejected for inspection because of a pinhole in the frame. 2005's of course are not recalled for frame problems, but I have a feeling they may end up being recalled.

I've done all the filing with the NHTSA, called Toyota and lodged a complaint and got a case number etc. etc. I know this isn't the dealers fault but will be "working" with them to see if we can get a new frame on the thing.

Bottom line: Can someone please suggest a good shop that does welding on truck frames ?

I am in Pittsburgh, so anyplace in the area would work fine. Appreciate your advice.

Were is the pinhole?
if its easy to get at without removing the fuel tank i could take a look at it

Is it a pinhole in a factory weld on the frame?

Thanks for the responses. Actually is NOT a pinhole, kind of a slot ???? Right next to one of the exhaust hangers welded to the frame, passenger side. I'll try to post a picture.
