frame rust

Have any of you had rust thru (holes) problems on the 55 frame? Are they prone to rust thru in the boxed section? I'm very familiar with the 40's spots. It will be a little while till I can get my 55 to a better place and start dissassembling it, but I was poking around on the frame and didn't find any holes. It has alot of flake on it but it doesn't have any swelling in the boxed c section like the 40's do when they're rotting thru. This is killing me that I can't work on it, I'm not quite done with the 40 yet and I want to get on this one.

never seen a 55 with a hideously rusty frame, but i don't doubt it could exist. seems the bodies would rot away long before the frame tho. i have come across a 45 frame that i accidently poked my thumb through tho.

Thanks for the response, Yeah, I think it will be alright, It just has flake on the outside, I wish I could blast it soon though.
