I bought probably the cheapest LC 100 in the country, it means a little bit of frame rust repair, I’ve done all kinds of fabrication and welding, never really done much frame repair, does anybody make a frame repair plate kit like they do for four runners and Tacoma‘s?
Would be interested to know if there are any options like that. I'm based in the UK with holes in similar locations; the rear suspension crossmembers and rear chassis section, albeit not as bad as yours.
I've got some 4mm (1/8 ish) plate and plan to cut out the bad sections, treat the area as best I can and weld in replacement plates this weekend.
I think that frame is beyond repair, at least with the body on it. The area inside the body mount perch , and the adjoining area, really, needs more than a patch. If I was going to repair this, I'd remove the perch...but I'd be very concerned about how thick the metal is in that frame.
