First off everything is located in Hamilton Township, New Jersey and can't be shipped (unless enough people are interested and I part out the axles), but I will deliver the engine within 100 miles for a small delivery charge.
I've got a frame from an FJ-40 project truck that I bought and parted-unknown history, but I'm sure it could be rehabilitated or used as a guinea pig for some crazy ideas. The axles are drum brake front and rear with old style Warn hubs in the front. Not sure of the exact year on anything. It's been sitting in my back yard for a while now and I just need to get rid of it. I was going to use the frame as a starting point for a new project, but I'm just going to use my existing rig instead. Note that there are no wheels on it so it's difficult to move. If multiple parties are interested (and no one wants the whole deal outright) I will consider seperating the axles and associated parts (3rd members/shafts, etc...).
The V8 is from another project that never really got started. It's nothing special-'84 305 Chevy small block, but it's been totally rebuilt, bored .030, etc...totally stock rebuild with stock dished pistons, etc...with 55cc heads it will make 8.5:1 compression. It's only a shortblock, no heads, cam, oil pan, etc...with the right combination of parts it would be a great V8 conversion motor. I was going to buy an '86 Chevy 1/2 ton to drop it into but I just don't have the time or money. Parts and labor (all the work from machining to assembly was done by a reputable shop-not me) cost me $900. This motor never even left the stand-ZERO miles. I'll let it go for $500.
PM me or e-mail me at mhall06@caldwell.edu
Thanks,
Matthew
