No sunroof? You need to take a pic of that and add it to the ad in the 80 for sale section. That IMO is the biggest selling point.

And no roof rack either. You are dang close to an official "poverty pack" rig. That has to be one of only a few that are in the U.S.

Very cool.

He will do all my work. It's just so far!

Ain't telling me anything I don't know... I almost became his neighbor. And I've driven that loop twice in a day! 45 minutes one-way from my shop!

Yes. Please don't remind me how rare and awesome it is Haha. As stated I'll have another.

Oldest documented 80 in the country.... COUNTRY!

REALLY. @Intern22 what is it? A 2/90 or 1/90 manufacture date? The frame stamp is something stupid like 00001009 or something. Cattywampus was 3/90 and stamped 1492 or something close. Can't remember. But yeah, Only Eric V up in Idaho found one at a salvage yard older than Catty, but I think intern's is older AND it's still on the road... KILLER opportunity for someone here who would love to own the OLDEST known 80 in the US...
They did not even start producing them AT ALL until 1/90, so there would be 1000 more floating around the entire world... Only 11k even came to the US that year, and they all came later.
Hell, I'm about to talk MYSELF in to buying the damn thing... Intern let's get it fixed! I want it! LOL.

2/90 and its 1006.

E.... you know we can work something out if you want it :clap:

I cant. I'm broke. Keep it for me.

Damn!!, ok now that is cool. Now I want it, but we are on a spending hiatus until we get the house fixed up. Just for grins, PM me what you need to get out of it. We may be on the edge of broke too when the house is done, but my interest is peaked for sure.

DUDE! I'm sitting here trying to be realistic about a 91 with issues, and you're giving him astronomical comps! I hope he PM's you $8500 and not a penny less! LOL...
It's a 91... With issues. Leave the sentimental out of it,

Hush! Only big issue is the AC. everything else ads Character and lets you get to know the vehicle as your own! :grinpimp:

I explained the 8500.... yes unrealistic but hey it is rare. "with issues" sounds so harsh! It is on there now for 5900. Its a realistic Craigslist starting point. Its getting some interest. but no bites yet.

I'll expand on my previous post. As-is, low vin aside with known issues and extras, I'd say between 3k and 4k is probably where it should be. The market is stupid right now and if sumbody will pay him 8500, then I want him to get that, I will not. I've seen some folks pay north of 10k for a well kept 96 or 97, but as you said, "near perfect" condition. Again, I would not. I didn't give 8500 for the 2 I have combined and even though I've probably got close to that in my 91, I know if I needed it gone, I'd probably be lucky to get close to 4k or 5k for it. I agree with what you said about flirting with hundys at that money.

I guess I should say if somewhere in that 3-4 range is your break even point, let me know otherwise best of luck.

i agree. When i first thought of this being an option i was thinking between 4-5k. ( remember i have a little sentimentalness( no idea if that is a word) in it. This is also why it was hard for me to put a price. The prices on these range so much

Couldn't agree more. Which is all I was saying in the beginning. And still saying now. Which is why I said what I said.
I would not try to sell it for $8500. But that's me. And why I can never be a salesman. I Know the value of it, and it's not that.

WTB:

Drivers seat mechanism.

I need the entire slave drive including hardware.
-Shaft and tube it lives in that go across front
- slave gear box
- worm shaft.
- plastic shaft keeper and screws.
- Allen screws for gear box
- stop bracket that worm shaft rides in and the two bolts that secure it.

If one of you local has a drivers seat I can remove parts myself.

I have the cap and gear kit because I ASSumed that was all that was wrong but the PO figured a way to make the seat work kinda without spending money.

Talked to a guy this weekend at Hale Mtn, said he knows of a 97 at a parts yard in North Georgis where he is. He pulled the axles a while back and then sold them, since they had lockers. But I bet this one still has the seat. I want some stuff off it, if I can get over to it, I'll grab the seat for you.
