one week after i put in the BJ spacers, i think the Rancho RS5145 shocks are bit short now. i've heard alot of good things about OME shocks, but i'm open for other options, too. currently, i'm insterested in ProComp ES3000 # 318514 shocks, these are for lift up to 4", plus there is a 4Wheelparts store 3 minutes away from my home, i can get there and get out in no time. $70 for a pair isn't a bad deal at all compare to OME's $70 a piece.

what about Bilstein shocks?

BTW, what tires you'd recommend.

thanks.

I put the bj spacers on my dad's '87 4Runner. Right now he's got a set of worn out 33x10.50's on it no problem, but I have a set of 80 series wheels with 33x12.50's for it setting my garage. I test ran them before the spacers and they cleared fine. Expect some pinch weld rub. The main cause of rub will be your wheel choice. The wider 8" LC wheels rub the pinch weld at compresson more than my 33x12.50's on 7" wheels.

As for the shocks, I just took the typical Rancho front shocks (don't have the number handy) and put a set of extenders on the top studs. Of course I had to cut the stud off some from the shock to get the overall length I wanted when I added the extender. Way cheaper than buying new shocks.

i have 3rd Gen. aluminum wheels on right now, i think they are 15x7. i'd like to have 33x10.5 or 32x 11.5 tires but there are fewer choices out there therefore more expensive. many tire factories make 33x12.5 tires but most certainly the wider tires are gonna have rubbing problems.

but, still i have to figure out the gear ratio before i jump on the bigger tires.
