Hey guys, I wanted to change out my fog light bulbs with some new ones and what should have been a 5min swap has turned into an hour ordeal with no resolution. My passenger side cap came off with ease but driver side cap seem to be stuck. I tried twisting as hard as I could counterclock wise and even broke one of the grip tabs on the dust cap itself. I can twist it a little bit before it stops budging. Any ideas what the issue is or how to get around this?

I had something similar with my headlamp. Got so concerned about breaking it that I took it to a mechanic (was getting it inspected anyway). They just cranked it on as hard as they could and it came off. Mine didn't break though

Thanks, I'll try to get some wd-40 in there and see if that helps. My grip tab broke likely because I wasn't applying even pressure and overstressed that one tab. I'll probably just take it to the mechanic/dealer if wd-40 doesn't work.
