As dead as this 90-series section is I’ll continue with the questions…
Can anyone confirm if the second row mat found in this set fit the 2-door J90?

No clue at all but I like those mats, going to bookmark those.

I have generic cut to fit mats and while they're fine, they're not perfect.

After carefully comparing the pictures in the link to what I “have” in my ‘96 TZ Prado (3rd) row. They do look very similar. The pattern and how they cover around the rear seat (2nd row) look almost identical. I did not purchase mine, myself. They came with the vehicle when I got it a few years ago. I would say they have held up decently. Plenty of sand, kids snacks and spilled coffee to put them to work.

I will add that they are softer than some comparables (weather tech) and similar while being harder than rubber. Worth a try if you want something a little stronger than just plane carpet. Easy to clean

yeah I’m tempted to just get them as I’m certain the fronts will fit perfectly & it’s the RHD driver’s that I’m most concerned with not interfering with the clutch.
Here’s the images for the custom fit set for the 95, then one for OEM style fabric replacements for the 95 & 90. I was comparing & it looks like the odd “wings” on the rears are the only significant difference.

It would just depend on which one you prefer more. Mine came with the original, blue and grey spiral patterned carpet floor mats but they definitely show their age.
The rubber/ plastic ones come in handy, if the truck does work.
I have seen the other example as well, Imperial, I think is the name. They make OEM style carpet floor mats, mainly for JDM vehicles. Seen that they make them for both the 3-door and 5-door, with the wings being for the 5-door, so it can wrap around the middle bench style seat.
