I heard of Flex in Japan a while ago when I was thinking of getting an HJ61. They are now making retro FJ60s using 80 and 100 series. It looks like it is mostly new body work and if the pictures are any indication, they've done a decent job. They are opening a San Diego dealership in the fall to start selling in the US. They have a online simulator that allows you to "build" one and see how your options look. It will then give an estimate (in Yen ¥) of what it would cost in Japan. Mine cost less than $30K when I did it. I wonder what it will sell for here once you add shipping, customs, LHD, etc. And they only show automatic trannys on all the pics. A 5 speed would be a nice choice.
