Cool.

OK man. Thanks

removing the vacuum allows full pump pressure to the injectors causing higher rpm.

change the filter no matter what.

i have a feeling the filter will solve your concern

So, if I remove the reg (remove vac line) the rpms shoudl increase? Correct? Is that the check you mean?

Do you guys only use Toyota filters? Or is like a Nappa Gold OK?

Thanks man

Oh. I know that I am going to want to remount the filter.

I have read where many have remounted it on the fender well/inside engine bay. I have always read where some did not have to add any lines and then some added a rubber extension.

Which is it? Just imagining it, I cannot see, give the current location, how you can remount and not have to add line. But maybe I am missing something.

you can re attach the hose to the filter in any direction. altering the original hose location, it allows you to get the filter in the area near the manifold, and on the fender.

you dont necessarily have to mount it to the fender, but is a good idea.

its so simple.

you do not have to add a length of hose

Thanks Pin. I am sure it will make more sense when I get in there.

I finished up the brakes and when the wheel was off, I clearly saw the Fuel Filter. Knocking on wood, the fuel filter does not look all that bad to do. When folks said "tight", I was expecting a hell of a lot more clearance issues than what I saw.

But maybe I am being optimistic.

Anyway, it goes on tonight and I might as well do an oil change while I am in there.

Thanks.

Fuel Filter In!

I cant believe how much hype is around this fuel filter.

35 minutes from start to finish-and that was with removing the tire.

0 issues with the banjo bolts. They came off very easy.

I relocated the filter to the inside fender. 0 issues.

I believe the filter fixed the flat spot. I took it out and it seems to run smoother at that rpm.

Thanks all!

Flat spot is GONE!!!

Just drove it 50 miles and 0 issues.

FYI...it was the original filter.
