So, a follow up to this. After I did the "Party Trick", I drained and refilled 4 qts, twice; to make sure any debris kicked out would get flushed out. It since has driven great, but has had its problem a couple of times since, usually in the morning as the truck and ATF is warming up. I would not call this a fix, and the truck will eventually need to be rebuilt, but this works as a bandaid in the meantime.

The truck drove like a tank all the way to Moab, the whole White Rim Trail, and back to SLC all without giving me much grief. I had not taken any trip longer than 45 miles since the rebuild, so this was one hell of a shake down run. These trucks and the info scattered around on this site really can save the day. We took both our 100 and our 80 and hit the road, my family really enjoyed themselves. I think they saw the light on why my wife and I have two built, gas guzzling, adventure rigs.
