replaced my AFM because my idle was too low, the new AFM increased my idle speed. smells ike its running rich. I tried backing out the golden screw and it's not going back. so im thinking maybe i can do the timing and reduce it? or replace the Idle air control valve?

Did you reset your ECU after replacing the AFM and then let it relearn everything? After that it can take 8 or so drives before it learns its new normal.
I disconnected the battery, not sure if thats the equivalent to resetting the ecu.

That will reset it. The screw on Throttle Body just needs to be set 1/4 to 1/2 a turn from tight. Backing it out more than that may increase the idle a bit. How high of an idle do you have now?
My Idle fluctuates at

Park: 1200 RPM
Drive: almost 1k RPM

I will tinker with the screw some more. I only tried backing it out, that's when I seen it was already backed out to the max.
