FJ62 Switched power?

Looking for switched power that doesn’t cut out during cranking process. 1989 fj62. Any tips?

Well, what are you trying to power? The PCM/EFI power comes to mind.

kill switch. I interrupted the Mrel wire coming from the ECU and heading to the EFI main relay and used the cigarette lighter as the switched power source but who knew the cigarette lighter cut out during ignition.

Well if you already tapped into the MREL wire from the ECU, just tap into the IGSW wire from the ECU for switched power that stays live during cranking.
