- Al,
Let me know if you change your mind on parting them. I neeed a diff from one.

Thanks,
- Rick

Al...I "may" be interested. I think finding a way to get them to either DFW area or Oklahoma may be the hard part for me (anyone from here going there?).

Could you divulge some more info for me?

What was the mileage on the 62 when they were removed?
Any obvious problems?
Gotta a selling price?

My plan would ultimately be to replace my 60 axles. My reason being that it might be cheaper to get the 4.11's this way, I would be able to have them out of the truck to work on while still using my truck, clean and paint them, and IIRC the 62 axles have trusses that I wouldn't mind having....

In your experience, do you think this is a reasonable swap (or anyone else for that matter)...i.e. 62 axles to a 60?

Thanks for any info,
Matt

P.S. Get back to work on "Project Uranus"!!! :D

Mileage is just under 200k...no problems that I can see...price I have seem go for a few hundred dollars so make an offer that is fair for the both of us and they are yours.

I will leave everthing on them...brakes front and rear, sway bars front and rear, brake lines, breathers, knuckles, arms, etc,etc...they only part I am keeping is the Asian hubs for my 80 series axles...

as for project Uranus...i was working on it minutes ago until i knocked part of the ac unit off and shot freon all over:mad: ...called half time and went for some ice tea.

I will work with you anyway I can to get them too you. Is this swap worth it? At least half of it is in my IMHO 4.11s and swap bars will be nice. Although if you did a knuckle re-build on them and replaced the seals and painted them I'm sure it would be trouble free for a very long time..

That's kinda what I was thinking as well...

Alright, I'll PM you an offer, but before I commit 100% I'll need to check and see how I can get them here.

I'm not in a hurry on this at all.

Thanks Al!

Freon is your friend!!

P.S. Are you going to any bigs events soon...maybe I can have someone from Tejas bring'em back?!?!?

Im in no rush to pull them either but when I do I kinda need to get rid of them, I just came back for GSMTR so I really dont know when the next big event is. Buttt i am going to Tellico early fall late summer...So maybe you or some else could go wheeling at same time and pick them up.

Damn...

Unless someone is willing (I have a thread open) to transport these, I think I will have to bail. :frown:

The price to ship these to me was what I was going to pay for them!! Two awkward items on an odd-sized pallet at 700 lbs or so would break the bank.

So If someone wants these then make Al an offer.

Al...If they don't sell then maybe we can meet-up at some event (doubt I'll be as far east as NC or FL anytime soon) or if you still have them sitting around then Roundup is always an option!! ;)

I will still keep looking for a way to get these here. I just wanted to open the thread back up in case someone wanted them.

Cheers,
Matt
