So I think the voltage regulator is shot the voltage spikes to 16 volts while acelerating, wondering if I should get it rebuilt , get a used one or get a remaned one from napa ? any of you guys change one recently ?

as far as i remember voltage regulators aren't that pricey. if there the same as on the 4.2 40 you can have mine. it was bolted on to my firewall new turned out to be my alt. so i put a 160 delco in and never used it.
