fj60 Tank recall

Invalid VIN per Toyota

Ok, so I have been doing some reading on the site and stumbled across the gas tank and rear seatbelt recall for fj60s. I went down, snagged my VIN off the driver's side door, double checked it with the VIN on the dash. Grabbed the 800# to Toy, and the lady said the VIN is not valid....What gives? Triple checked it with my inspection and title. What next?

Call the dealer.. ? I'd try molle 9425200 if I recall off the top of my head. No guarantee it's under warranty. sometimes those things expire?

This summer I had the tank and seatbelts replaced under warranty. The dealership tried to play dumb so I asked to see the manager and got the parts replaced at no cost on my 84 FJ 60.

Thanks for the information guys. The weird thing is I called 800 Toy number and the lady told me that my VIN was invalid. I triple checked on the dash, driver's side door jamb and the title. I will try Molle and see if I get a different answer.
