FJ60 from san francisco to New York City

I may be getting my first FJ60 in San Francisco and may need shipping to NYC.

Can you guys recommend a shipping company?
What prices can I expect?
Does it matter is its covered or uncovered?
The one thing is that I don't want it towed.

Can you guys help.

Buy closer - that is 3000 miles away

If you are determined to get it, I would fly out and drive
it home in the Spring

Otherwise, find a direct hauler to take it with no transfer
or unloading and loading with no deposit to you.

Your best bet is enclosed transport.

Jim is right....Your safest bet is to go enclosed to ensure that no damage will come to the vehicle. They tend to have more expensive equipment, more detail oriented drivers, and most are Owner operators so they actually care about future business. With that in mind...an enclosed rate from SFO to NYC would run pretty expensive. Unless you are getting a steal on this particular one, you are better off buying closer.
