Up for sale is a pair of red and clear taillight lenses that will fit all FJ60's and FJ62's. No modification is needed at all to fit these lenses, they fit as good as the factory unitsl These lenses are virtually impossible to find, it took me around 10 hours of online searching to find some. Anyhow, down to the details.
To make a long story short, I searched for about a month to find these lenses. I finally found a seller in Australia that had two pairs left so I purchased a set. When the lenses arrived, both of them had been slightly damaged during shipping(see pics). Both areas of damage are outside of where the lens bolts to the housing. I have had these lenses mounted to my 62 for about 3 weeks (while I have been waiting for the other lenses) and have had no problems with water getting in. We have had some significant moisture lately and if there were gonna be any leaking problems, they would have shown by now.
The driver side lens has some damage in the upper left hand corner. There is a small piece of clear plastic missing with a small crack. Again, all of this damage is outside of the seal area and you should have no problems with leaking. The damage is not very noticeable since it is in the corner. The passenger lens has damage in the lower right hand corner. The same pertains with this side, all dmage is outside of the seal area and as such there have been no leaking problems at all. Three small pieces had been broken off the corner so I super-glued them all back together. No problems here as I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to repairs such as this one. Again, since this damage is also in a corner, it is not very noticeable.
If you would like to see better close up pics, feel free to ask. I paid over $115 for these parts since I wanted to update the appearance of the landcruiser while still giving a factory look. I am asking $30.00 plus shipping which basically will cover the shipping costs that I had to pay for the second set of lenses to be sent out (since I did not pay for shipping insurance
). Thanks for looking
