i need this part it seems to connect the alternator to the battery with these two plugs. i need the part with the green plug, with three wires in between and a cream plug on the other end, thanks jason

Dude-that's the fusable link. Toyota has these brand new for about $12. Order 2!
Check your electrical system carefully and figure out why it blew. You may have a short, which means your new link will blow soon after install unless the problem is fixed.

i just replaced my alternator this weekend, the old alt. had bad bearings and it was an aftermarket, the old alt. worked but just made alot of noise. after the replacement the alt. did not work and i saw that the fusiable link had a bad wire, thanks
This may need to move to tech,............but, did you smell smoke when you hooked up your new alternator?
It is rather easy to have the plastic insulator fall off the threaded stud (ask me how I know
) thereby allowing attachment of a 12v. wire directly to ground.
Edit: and that red one is the one directly from the alt. Find out what caused it before hooking up the new one.
