Should I do the conversion to the green one? I want to put the 2F 4spd and the axles. Add a holly 500 and header to the 2F. Did anyone run into problemes with spring pertches on the newer axels? I want to do this because I found a 60 daily driver for $1200. It has a rebuilt front axel. I want tobe able to cruise crosscountry to go to some events in Cali. Thanks Shawn

60 axles are 4" wider than the 40 axles. The rear is not a big issue, just move the perches out. The front is a different story. You will have to outboard the spring hangers on the frame. You can buy an outboard kit from Proffitt's Cruisers. They are in Delta, CO.

You will definitely get a wider stance with the 60 axles. I have 62 axles under my troopy. They look pretty good and I am SOA.

Are you staying SUA or going with SOA? I say: spring that bitch over and have fun with it!
