Just picked up an '82 FJ60 that had been sitting since 2006. Was sitting with gas in the tank, lines, and carb. Drained and flushed tank, flushed lines, and now rebuilding carb. After seeing the carb, I'm thinking the previous owner messed with the carb and couldn't get it running and just parked it. For instance, there were two balls under the accelerator pump, like he tried to rebuild carb but didn't see the first ball so just put another on top of it. And float level was wayyyyyy off. Aye!!

When putting the carb back together today I noticed I am missing the Pump Spring Stopper (#38 on pic below), Pump Disc Ball Spring (#39) and the large ball. They weren't in carb upon diassy. The large ball came in the rebuild kit but not the stopper or spring. The last pic shows the hole the stopper, spring, and ball go into. Does anyone have the stopper and spring from a previous rebuild or junk carb they'd be willing to part with? And/or can the individual carb parts be bought somewhere? Carb is stock Aisan 2 bbl, stamped 2C26.

The accelerator pump spring is no longer available from Toyota, but I'm sure you can find one in a kit or from a carb rebuilder, or someone here on mud.

The pump check ball & ball retainer are still available from Toyota.

Check Ball PN: 21314-11020
Check Ball Retainer PN: 21538-31010

Pretty sure that the Keyster one that I purchased from @cruiseroutfit did not come with those but you can check with Kurt and he would easily be able to tell you if they are included in the carb rebuild kits.

According to Toyota, the piece (38) that goes in the hole is called an (accelerator) pump discharge weight. I do not know if it's still available. It is not part of any rebuild kit. It is aluminum and simple shape so I'm guessing anybody with a lathe should be able to make one... Both Steel Balls will come in any rebuild kit. Spring, as stated above, can be fab'd. It may be wise (and cheaper) for you to try and find a good cheap core for parts.

FWIW, if you're desmogged, there are new, OE and OEM, and aftermarket (Aisan copy) carbs available.

My mistake..
I wrongly referenced 41, 42, 43 on your drawing. Stuff for the accelerator pump.

@Spike Strip is right. The discharge weight and spring are NLA, but surprisingly the ball (#40 on your drawing) is still available. PN: 21313-11020

Thanks, but it's not the accelerator pump spring or ball I need; it's the part circled in the pic below. From searching the interwebs, I believe the part is called "accelerator pump discharge weight". Found this pic, too. That's the part I'm missing. Anyone have one or know where I can get it without buying a whole carb? I called CDan and he said that is a non-serviceable (non-orderable) part from Toyota.

Crap, sorry about the late post. Had the thread open most of the day without refreshing before I posted my last post. Looks like general consensus is that it isn't available. Suppose I should post a wanted ad now. Would rather not buy a whole used/core carb just to get the discharge weight.

As much as you don't want to buy another used carb, actually that is the best option for all FJ60 owners. It is best to have (at least) two carbs. One on the truck, and a rebuilt and ready one one the shelf. If you get a third, you'll have spare parts for the working units.

A bit of coin for sure. But if you're planning on keeping the cruiser a long time and can't afford long down times when the carb goes belly up and needs some TLC, then an extra spare is the best option.

I hear ya, but that's the thing, this cruiser is about to be for sale. Just got it to flip it. Wife daily drives a 62, and I daily drive a 40. So, amidst the other old cars and old car projects, the 60 is just a get running and sell for bit of profit kind of deal.

Where these available? I would like to see the prices, etc.
