Well, I plasma'ed all of the bracketry of ftonight and cut the knuckles free. Tomorrow I will rotate the knuckles and weld them solid. My 25 degree pinion andgle was wayyyyy off. I am going with 18 degrees which will point my pinion slightly below the t-case output. Once I install dual cases, it should be directly inline. That's about all until tomorrow. Splaters~ Tom
 
I measured the rear axle housing that I have. I expect that it would have the same clearnace as the front. It measured out at 4.25" of seperation between the lowest part of the axle hopusing and the differential area. This does not take into account the drain plug which is hanging out there.

With my pinion aiming at 15deg. I will have about a 1" gain in ground clearance at the lowest point. Don't forget that the plating joins about 3/8" above this point. This yeilds a 2-3/4" gain in tire size without buying new skins.:)
